Israeli Strikes Cause Significant Damage to Iran’s Arak Nuclear Reactor

Israeli jets have conducted air strikes on a nuclear reactor under construction in central Iran, resulting in significant damage during the ongoing conflict between the two nations. Satellite images have revealed the extent of the destruction caused by Israel’s recent attack on the Arak heavy water reactor, also known as the Khondab facility.

The Arak reactor, previously a focal point in nuclear negotiations, was meant to have been decommissioned under the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal. However, the recent Israeli airstrikes have inflicted heavy damage on the facility, which is located approximately 250 kilometers southwest of Tehran.

Satellite pictures from Maxar Technologies dated June 19 confirm that Israel’s bombardment has caused substantial structural harm to the Arak heavy water reactor facility in Iran. Additionally, images show damage to other key Iranian nuclear sites and missile bases after the Israeli attacks, highlighting the escalating tensions between the two countries.
