AJ Dybantsa Shines on Team USA U19 Training Camp Roster for FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup
AJ Dybantsa, the heralded BYU freshman, has been officially named to Team USA’s Men’s U19 National Team for the upcoming FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup. Dybantsa is no stranger to success on the global stage with Team USA. The top-ranked player in the 2025 class, Dybantsa played a crucial role in Team USA’s U17 National Team’s gold medal win at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey. He also helped lead the U16 National Team to victory at the 2023 FIBA Men’s U16 Americas Championship in Mexico.
At a recent Team USA U19 training camp scrimmage, Dybantsa showcased his star power with an outstanding late-game surge. The 6’9″ forward scored 11 consecutive points in just three minutes, securing a comeback victory for his team.
USA Basketball’s Selection Process
USA Basketball announced the roster of 33 athletes who participated in the U19 National Team training camp in Colorado Springs, Colo. Out of the 31 players present, 12 were chosen to compete in the FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Switzerland. The final team will be announced prior to the start of the tournament on June 28.
