Chevy Teases New 2025 Chevrolet Corvette X Variant
Chevy’s Instagram post is explicit, reading: “The … Chevrolet just posted a cryptic new teaser video to social media hinting at the forthcoming arrival of a new Corvette, set to debut next week on June 17th.
Chevrolet used the ‘X’ before during its C6 Z06 days when it created a special one-off track Corvette for the SEMA show in 2010. The Z06x was a track-ready concept with a stripped down 1LZ interior and full roll cage. Other changes included adjustable coil-over struts and stabilizer bars, racing wheels, and more.
Chevrolet will reveal a new high-performance Corvette on June 17, likely an all-wheel-drive hybrid version of the ZR1, previewed with a stylized ‘X’ in the teaser. The model is expected to take the 5.5-liter turbocharged V8 from the 1,064-hp Corvette ZR1 and add an electric motor at the front axle.

If the rumors are true, the Corvette X will combine a version of the ZR1’s 1,064 hp turbocharged V8 with the front electric drivetrain from the Corvette E-Ray, rated at 160 hp. This combination could revolutionize the internal combustion era.
Corvette SUV Pricing & Availability
Car and Driver expects the Corvette SUV to start around $60,000 with pricing increasing as more power and options are added. It is expected to be available in mid-to-late 2024 as a 2025 model.
